Should You Combine Milk With Eggs In One Meal?

Both eggs and dairy products are among the most complete foods in terms of the content of essential nutrients, trace elements and vitamins. Both foods contain a large amount of protein, including some of the essential amino acids. Separately, eggs are rich in essential fatty acids, and milk – calcium and magnesium. Combining dairy products and eggs in a single meal is a very convenient means of balancing protein intake. This is why such a combination is among the favorites of people who work to build up extra muscle mass.

The main problem in combining milk and eggs is the tendency to use raw eggs in combination with fresh or yogurt to make different shakes. A similar combination of foods has a certain health risk in 2 strands.

On the one hand, raw eggs, as well as poorly heat-treated, may contain vital dangerous bacteria that can lead to food poisoning. Thus, with regular consumption of raw eggs, there is a serious risk of chronic biotin deficiency. Biotin is an important Group B (B7) vitamin that plays a major role in maintaining skin, hair, and nail condition. Milk is rich in biotin, but its consumption of raw eggs will hinder the absorption of the important vitamin.

The limitations in this case apply only to the combination of dairy products with raw or badly processed egg yolks. With sufficient culinary treatment, they can be combined with milk without restrictions.

Avoid Mixing Milk and Eggs When Having Food Allergies

Combining eggs and milk in one meal can cause unwanted consequences in people with food allergy. Milk and egg proteins are among the most common allergens, and their concomitant consumption may increase the incidence of allergic reactions in people with an increased attitude. In all other cases, however, the combination of eggs and milk is considered not only to be safe but also useful consumption for the procurement of some of the most valuable nutrients.
